Why This Site Exists
Sun Valley records do not sit in a Sun Valley municipal archive. The Washoe County Recorder keeps deeds, liens, and recorded marriage certificates. County and state courts publish party searches, while the Assessor connects parcels with owners. Voter lists follow Nevada election law, and newer birth and death certificates have separate eligibility rules. Licensing boards, the Secretary of State business index, Washoe County Library, and UNR add still more search paths. We organize these official sources and explain the access route each one uses.
What We Organize
The main sections follow the record set or office a reader is likely to need:
- Pages by record type: public records, voter registration records, and people directories
- Local records offices: the Washoe County Recorder, Clerk, Assessor, Registrar of Voters, courts, and Northern Nevada Public Health
- Practical search methods: court party searches, address-to-owner steps, deed trails, and regional library collections
- Access boundaries: what Nevada law opens, which records remain restricted, and how NRS Chapter 239 requests work
Limits of Our Role
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection with Washoe County, the State of Nevada, any court, or any records custodian. That means our role has firm limits:
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person lives in Sun Valley
- We cannot remove information from government records or third-party databases
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a record applies to your situation
- We cannot promise that every portal link, index, fee, or office detail remains current
Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
